Born and raised in the Chicago area, Rebecca Wylie has been an artist since she was old enough to hold a crayon and paint with watercolors. She was encouraged from a young age to express her creativity, explore her imagination and think critically by her loving parents, an architect and elementary school teacher. What started out as unappreciated scribbles on living room walls and in library books, turned into a passion for art, design and technology.
Wylie attended the University of Missouri – Columbia and earned her BA in Art with a graphic design emphasis in May of 2007. She immediately began her professional career as a freelance designer and marketing consultant, primarily working with small businesses and non-profit organizations. It is in these industries that her innovative and sustainable design solutions are at their best. Of course, this does not exclude other industries; Rebecca is always looking to expand her repertoire. Variety is the spice of life! She can design websites, logos, business cards, letterheads, brochures, direct mailings and more.
When she is not busy designing, Wylie devotes her time between being an advocate in the disability community and public speaking, going to concerts, reading up on the latest pop culture and cooking with her dad.
