Old St. Pat’s, as it is commonly known, is an Irish-Catholic church serving the city of Chicago for over 150 years. With over 3,000 households, Old St. Pat’s offers hundreds of groups, initiatives, service projects and organizations throughout the city, suburbs and world that carry out their mission of “serving the life and work of the laity in the world.” Some of these groups include an adult literacy group, an interfaith family religious school, Global Alliance for Africa and several homeless shelters. Another highlight includes the annual World’s Largest Block Party (often featuring headlines such as Ben Folds, Train and Counting Crows) to help raise funds for the church’s Center for Social Concerns.

The Resource Guide Project

The objective of this project was to design a resource guide that contains information about the church’s extensive ministries and service opportunities. The design was inspired by the Old St. Pat’s logo as well as the Celtic renaissance artwork that is present throughout the sanctuary. A dark green color is used on the cover to represent the church's rich Irish history. The font reaches in and out akin to the guide’s content.
