The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) is the #1 rehabilitation hospital in America. In 1991 they established the Women with Disabilities Center to address physical and emotional health issues of women that were being ignored by the medical field at large. They carry out their mission by empowering disabled women with the knowledge and resources to promote change in the community.
I have designed several flyers for the Center for various events they have had recently. The one pictured at the right was for a talk on domestic violence. I took the universal symbol for domestic violence, the purple ribbon, and the disability symbol and combined them for the background.
